An Insightful Journey into the World of Music, Performance, and Al-Influenced Creativity with Artist GRÆBLE.
GRÆBLE ©️2023
Today We Have The Pleasure To Have This Great Artist Here On Goathead!
GH: What inspired you to start writing music?
GRÆBLE: I think I have always had a strong urge to create entrancing things. I started by creating art when I was 8 years old, creating portraits and characters based on Greek mythologies. A couple years later I started writing poems and journal entries, which later became the beginning foundation to my musical creations. We couldn't really afford musical instruments when I was young, so it wasn't until I was 18 that I finally got my hands on a guitar so I could really form the music. Now I have found my place in what I call Dark Pop music.
GH: Can you tell us more about your experience performing live at gigs and what was the most memorable experience you had?
GRÆBLE: Performing live is fantastic! Sometimes things don't go as planned, and sometimes you are performing for almost no one, but no matter what, the experience of performing live was great! I have performed in local cafes, bars, and art exhibits. Now that I have cultivated my Dark Pop sound, I hope to bring an immersive experience to audiences live! I have a vision.
GH: How is your process of songwriting set around?
GRÆBLE: I think many people consider themselves a musician or vocalist or simply an artist. When it comes to writing, I actually consider myself a melodist, if that's even a thing. Because all my songs and everything I have created always starts with a melody that I can't shake out of my head. When I finally do get it to come out, usually as a hum, I record it, or midi map it and build everything around that melody. Sometimes that melody will be the vocals, but it can also turn out to be the guitar or keys or even the bass. Whatever feels right.
GH: What motivates you to create music and bring awareness to different situations through your songs?
GRÆBLE: Whether it's good times or bad times, you can find me creating music. I'm an observer and I love to translate what I see into something others can understand and feel. Sometimes it's something I experienced, and sometimes it's a fantasy that helps tell the story of an experience I witnessed. Most of all, I wanna help people with anxieties, push past those with sheer will and knowledge. Maybe I'm in over my head, but that's right where I should be, haha.
GH: Could you share some insights into your next projects?
GRÆBLE: I have been creating an immersive album experience called Entropy. This is a written story accompanied by music. It will be a full-length album, and I can tell you it has a huge AI influence. Similar to my latest release Pixel Passion, which was about a possible future use for AI romantic companions, and you can read more about it at cgrable.com. I am open to work with others in the industry to bring this cutting-edge album to completion.
