Today we have the pleasure to have Della Vonne here on Goathead.

GHR: Hi Della, it's very great to have you here. What first pushed you to take songwriting seriously?

Della Vonne: I’ve always loved music, but for a while I struggled to write because I felt like I wasn’t expressing my emotions properly. Everything came out cheesy and too cliché. That really changed after I met my husband. He pushed me to go for it and do what I love. He’s been a huge supporter and always keeps me on track.

GHR: Have you had any live performance experience so far?

Della Vonne: Since I’m still new, most of my recent “live gigs” have honestly just been karaoke. But even then, I love that feeling of being on stage. I love seeing people’s reactions, especially when you hit something they don’t expect. That moment always hits. I’m really looking forward to hearing people sing along once I start performing live soon.

GHR: What does your creative process look like?

Della Vonne: It’s all over the place. I feel like I’ve got a typical ADHD brain, constantly jumping in and out of focus. It can slow things down sometimes, but when the right idea hits, I lock in and give it everything.

GHR: What drives you when you’re writing a song?

Della Vonne: I always think about how the listener is going to feel. I love creating songs that transport you, like a movie soundtrack. Something where you can picture yourself in a cinematic moment and really get lost in it.

GHR: What can we expect next from you?

Della Vonne: I’m keeping the momentum going. There’s a lot coming. Big melodies, strong instrumentals, and some funky beats. The next few months are going to be exciting.
