Goathead Announces Second Annual Awards for December 2026, Cementing a New Year of Artistic Legacy and Recognition.
Goathead Expands Its Legacy With Second Annual Awards and Historic Museum Integration.

GOATHEAD has announced the return of the Goathead Awards for December 2026, marking the second year of its annual recognition program and a significant new chapter in the company’s history.
For the first time, the Goathead Museum in GravePark and Goathead Awards will come together as one integrated , connecting the recognition of artistic excellence with the preservation of creative history.
What began as an independent recognition initiative in 2025 is evolving into something considerably larger.
An institution designed not simply to celebrate what artists accomplish today, but to preserve what they contribute to tomorrow.
Because recognition is temporary. Legacy is not.
A History Already Being Written.
For years, Goathead has worked alongside artists, producers, musicians, filmmakers, and independent creators, developing projects, supporting releases, documenting achievements, and building an expanding network of creative relationships.
Some entered through the record label. Others through production, artist development, editorial coverage, or collaborations that became part of the company’s broader creative identity.
Those contributions are now becoming part of a larger historical narrative.
The integration of the Goathead Museum and Awards establishes a framework through which selected artists, works, and achievements can be recognized and preserved within the institution’s evolving archive.
For artists who have grown alongside Goathead, the announcement represents another milestone in a relationship that extends beyond individual releases or promotional campaigns.
For those discovering Goathead today, it offers a glimpse into an institution whose history is already being written.
Some artists have been part of the story from the beginning. Others are only now realizing how far that story has come.
The Museum and the Awards Become One
The Goathead Museum will serve as the cultural home of the Awards, bringing together selected winners, notable works, artistic milestones, and the creative contributions that have shaped the company’s identity.
The annual Awards will recognize excellence in the present. The Museum will provide a lasting record of the achievements selected for preservation.
This integration reflects Goathead’s broader expansion beyond traditional record label operations into media, entertainment, technology, interactive experiences, and independent creative infrastructure.
The company’s vision is increasingly defined not by any single service or release, but by the interconnected world it continues to develop.
A world in which music, visual art, production, storytelling, and creative identity can coexist within one institution.
And as that institution grows, so does the significance of the artists whose work becomes part of its history.
Eighteen Categories. One Standard.
The second annual Goathead Awards will feature 18 categories, including two new distinctions introduced for 2026.
The returning categories:
Goathead Best Song
Independent Best Song
Goathead Best New Artist
Independent Best New Artist

Two new distinctions for 2026:
Artist of the Year
Recognizing an artist whose body of work, creative development, consistency, and overall contribution distinguished them throughout the year. An award for sustained excellence, not a single successful moment.
Creative Visionary of the Year
Recognizing an artist or creator who pushed beyond conventional boundaries through music, visual storytelling, production, technology, or multidisciplinary creative work. A distinction for those who do not simply participate in culture, but help shape its direction.
The Lil Skeleton Award also returns as the program’s special recognition, honoring an artist who embodies the fearless, uncompromising creative spirit associated with Goathead.
Its recipient will continue to be selected by Lil Skeleton.
All selections will be based on artistic merit, originality, execution, and impact.
Already Within Goathead’s Reach? No Submission Necessary.
As in its inaugural year, Goathead will continue to distinguish between artists already within its creative ecosystem and new independent applicants.
Artists who have previously worked with Goathead through its record label, Accelerator programs, editorial coverage, production, distribution, development initiatives, or other recognized collaborations do not need to submit their work again to enter consideration.
Their existing relationship and available body of work allow Goathead to consider eligible achievements through its internal curation process.
Artists within the ecosystem are nevertheless welcome to submit specific works for consideration in their preferred eligible categories.
For new independent artists, the submission process remains open through the official Goathead Awards website.
Applicants may identify the category or categories for which they wish to be considered and provide their relevant releases, projects, or creative work for review.
The distinction is straightforward.
Artists already within the institution’s reach do not need to reintroduce themselves. New artists are welcome to make their introduction.
No artist is required to purchase a service, enter a commercial agreement, or establish a personal relationship with the company to receive recognition. Previous collaborations do not guarantee nominations or awards.
The standard remains the work itself.
A Statement From Frank Carrozzo
“There’s something interesting about building a company over time. In the beginning, people see what you’re doing. Eventually, they start to understand what you’ve been building. We had artists who recognized the vision early, worked with us, trusted our people, and became part of our history before there was a museum or an awards. The Goathead Awards were never supposed to be another ceremony where everyone congratulates everyone for a night, where politics play a script, where FYC campaigns are useless banners on someone’s Instagram and forgets about it the next morning. When I look at where we started, the people who contributed, the records we produced, the projects we supported, and everything we’re developing today, I see a story that’s much bigger than any individual release. The Museum in our GravePark game give that story a home. I want artists to look back years from now and recognize that they were part of something while it was being built and they became part of the very foundation of what today thousands of artists call Goathead and everyone at Goathead calls…home. And I want new artists to understand that there’s still room to contribute something meaningful.”
December 2026: The Next Chapter
The second annual Goathead Awards will take place in December 2026, with nominations, winners, and further details regarding the Museum integration to be announced through the company’s official platforms.
The 2026 edition represents more than the continuation of an annual tradition.
It marks the development of a permanent cultural identity, one built through years of creative work, relationships, ambition, and the belief that artists deserve more than a passing moment of attention.
For the artists already part of Goathead’s history, this is another chapter in something they helped shape.
For those watching from outside, the door to consideration remains open. But history does not wait for everyone to recognize its significance.
Goathead Awards 2026.
Some will be remembered for what they created. Others will remember when they had the opportunity to be part of it and didn’t.
