Producer and DJ extraordinaire Andy Dubbs’ “Just Go For It” is exactly what the title promises: an all-gas, no-brakes techno stomper.

Kicking off with metallic synths and a tunneling lo-fi four-on-the-floor pulse, the track wastes no time establishing its hardcore credentials. The production is raw, aggressive, and sweat-drenched. aimed squarely at basement ravers and peak-hour DJ sets.

The mix is intentionally dense. Layers of distorted percussion, delayed stabs, and sweeping filters build a relentless atmosphere, with only brief breakdowns offering room to breathe. A bass that bites

A standout moment arrives mid-track with a stripped-down break that resets the pulse before dropping even harder—emphasizing the track’s central ethos: repetition, intensity, and power.

Where many modern techno producers flirt with melody or atmospheric minimalism, Dubbs goes the opposite direction—embracing the rave roots of the genre with a no-frills, percussive workout. There’s little melody here, but that’s not the point. This is a utility track for DJs looking to hammer the floor.

With a tighter low-end mix and some sonic breathing room, this could easily slide into sets alongside acts like Perc, Dax J, or early I Hate Models. But even in its current form, “Just Go For It” proves Andy Dubbs is chasing pure physical response. And in that mission, he delivers.
