Underground hip-hop meets cosmic frequency in Brother Nature’s journey through rhythm, self-awareness, and solar storms.

Today we have the pleasure to have Brother Nature here on Goathead.
GHR: Hey Brother Nature great to have you here. What inspired you to start creating music?
Brother Nature: Thanks for having me guys, I’ve been playing trumpet since I was 7 and drums since I was 9. Music and poetry—especially hip-hop—have always pulled me in. At a certain point, when life on the physical plane stopped adding up, I started speaking my truth through underground hip-hop. Things still aren’t exactly where I want them to be, but I’m on my way. And I’m loving every second of the ride.
GHR: What’s a Brother Nature live show like?
Brother Nature:Same energy I bring behind the drums—pure force. If I’ve got KimonoFox with me, it’s next level. He’s my producer, engineer, DJ, guitarist, and best friend. We’ve played live music our whole lives, and it’s who we are. One of my favorite shows has to be the Buffalo Flow Jam at Delaware Park. This’ll be my fourth year. This time I’m backed by the live band peaceCo. Underground hip-hop with a full band? Unforgettable.
GHR: What’s your songwriting process like?
Brother Nature:It depends. Sometimes songs just write themselves in two hours. Other times, it takes months. One track off Solar Maximum started fast, but I couldn’t finish the second verse until one day I went on a walk and typed it out on my phone. That’s the magic of flow state—you can’t force it.
GHR: What does music mean to you?

Brother Nature: Everything. Music moves energy. It uplifts. It inspires us to be real, to be ourselves without apology. We were brought here to create—whether you're making music or just listening to it while doing what you love. My songs are rooted in self-awareness and spirituality. That’s my truth. If others pick that up, cool. If not, that’s cool too. I’m just here to keep it positive and stay in the light.
GHR: Any recent or upcoming drops we should know about?

Brother Nature:Yeah! Great Lakes featuring RBX dropped June 6th. Sunshine drops June 13th. Then the full album Solar Maximum—entirely produced by KimonoFox in our hometown of Niagara Falls—drops June 20th. It’s a reflection of the last few years of my life, and it lines up with the real-life solar maximum happening right now. I’ve also got The Lobster Chronicles coming soon under Labcabin Records in LA. No date yet. Just stay tuned… we communicate in waves.
