GHR: What inspired you to start writing music?
Sophia: I’ve wanted to write, sing, and produce music since I was a kid. In my teens, I made some unreleased tracks across pop, soul, and EDM—genres I’ve always loved. I’m classically trained in piano, but singing is something I taught myself. As a child, I looked up to vocalists like Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, and Mariah Carey.
Recording in the studio had always been a dream, and I was thrilled when I finally took that step. My producer, John Soul (John El-Khoury), and I clicked right away. We share similar tastes, and that made everything feel right.
It hasn’t always been easy—I've had doubts, especially about stepping into the spotlight—but creating has always been the core of it for me. That’s what drives me.
GHR: Can you tell us more about performing live—and what’s been your most memorable experience so far?

Sophia: I haven’t performed live at public gigs yet—just a few private ones—but I’m hoping that changes soon!
GHR: How would you describe your songwriting process?
Sophia: It starts with a vision. I usually have a clear idea of the kind of song I want to create, then choose the right tempo and beat. The creative part is the most fun—my producer and I often come up with new ideas while recording.

GHR: What motivates you to create music and spread awareness through your songs?
Sophia: I’ve always had an “orchestra” in my head—new melodies and ideas constantly swirling. Music has always been my outlet. I think it’s human to reflect on our emotions and experiences, and music is how I do that. It’s a universal language that connects us all.
GHR: Could you share some insight into your upcoming projects?
Sophia: I’ve got a few ideas lined up, and since I love exploring different genres, the next release might surprise you—so stay tuned!
