A Symphony of Dreams and Reality: Unpacking the Musical Journey of a Rising Artist Who Finds Connection Through Sound
Malena Boccadoro ©️ 2023
Today we have the pleasure to have her here:!
GH: Hi Malena, What inspired you to start writing music at a young age?
Malena: My grandfather! He was my inspiration and my mentor. I was born a writer- and then I found out that music was my favorite form of writing. Through his encouragement I became a musician.
GH: Can you tell us more about your experience performing live at gigs and what was the most memorable experience you had?
Malena: I played at a venue called The Depot. It’s in Salt Lake City- it was incredible. An amazing vibe. I was just a guest artist at the show, but the crowd was really welcoming and really lovely. Best experience so far. The audience gave me a lot of confidence.
GH: How does your process of songwriting is set around?
Malena: My songwriting process is what I call “kaleidoscoping.” I tend to write lines about specific things that I feel emotionally charged on and then blend them into a cohesive story. It also often starts with a word that I like. For example: my latest release Dead Sea- I liked the words Dead Sea. And I built the song around that.
GH: What motivates you to create music and bring awareness to different situations through your songs?
Malena: I have a hard time opening up to people or communicating what I’m feeling. Music allows me to bridge what’s in my head into reality.
GH: Could you share some insights into your next projects?
Malena: Yes! I’m releasing a music video and another single within the next month or so- it’s called Sleeping Giants. Right now I’m in the middle of working on two other songs that are almost ready as well- they’ll be coming out shortly after. I’m very excited to show everyone.
