Summertime of Peaches is a radiant slice of synth-pop heartbreak and hope, written, performed, and produced by Thammarat and mastered by Chris Hobson. It’s a track that swims in tension—the inner dialogue between fear and fantasy, loneliness and longing. At its core, it’s about that very queer feeling: seeing someone across the room and wondering, Could he be like me?

Thammarat sings from the edge of vulnerability: “I act all cool but I’m anxious / My heart is looking at love, but my mind says I’m not in his league.” The line balances self-protection with quiet yearning, a hallmark of queer romance written in real time. But when fantasy begins to merge with reality, the song shifts, softly, sweetly, and with total emotional clarity.

Production-wise, it’s warm and intimate, staying close to the skin. Dreamy pads, featherlight beats, and layered harmonies create a cozy space for the lyrics to unfold. The hook is pure serotonin: “His touch feels like the lightest of breezes / Tidal waves and sandiest beaches”, like the sound of crashing into someone you didn’t know you were waiting for.

The chorus repeats, but not out of habit. It’s growth. By the final time through, the emotional stakes have flipped. The anxiety gives way to joy. The question, “Is he like me?”, becomes an answer. It’s a rare thing to hear queer desire celebrated without spectacle, and even rarer for it to sound this sincere.

Thammarat isn’t just crafting their music, he’s telling the story we didn’t get growing up. One filled with pink skies, hopeful hearts, and the quiet revolution of being seen.
