Once a classic rock reflection, now reborn as a powerful anthem for cancer survivors, uniting loss, resilience, and the will to keep moving forward.

“I Don’t Remember Yesterday” isn’t just a song, it’s a statement of survival. Reimagined by Hygh Risque as a tribute to those who’ve battled cancer and endured the unimaginable, the track turns reflection into resolve, grief into grace.
Originally written by lyricist Ernie Atella with music by James Calista and Steve Bettelli, the song carries new life in this version: a heartfelt anthem of transformation that honors every survivor’s journey.

Ernie Atella’s vocals echo with quiet strength, while Jim Calista’s guitar and Aldo J. Bettelli’s piano fill the mix with warmth and clarity. Beneath it all, Don White’s bass and Steve Bettelli’s drums hold the pulse steady—like a heartbeat refusing to fade.
The chorus, “I don’t remember yesterday, all I see is her face as she walks away,” takes on deeper meaning here. It’s no longer just about loss—it’s about letting go of what was taken, and walking forward with hope. The upcoming music video, set to premiere on November 7, 2025, will bring that message to life through survivor representation, symbolic imagery, and cinematic storytelling.

In keeping with their long-standing commitment to advocacy, Hygh Risque is donating 100% of digital proceeds from the song to the American Cancer Society. This follows a legacy that began with their 1993 benefit concert at Mercer County College, which raised $35,000 for cancer research alongside other artists and NBA great World B Free.

“I Don’t Remember Yesterday” is more than a ballad—it’s an act of compassion. It’s a call to remember those we’ve lost, celebrate those who’ve survived, and believe in the power of music to heal.
